I thought I would do a little update on how the Reshape the Nation diet is going :)
I started my calendar countdown and tracking 6 days ago and so far, so good. I am down 2 lbs in those 6 days as of this morning.
Going grocery shopping is strange because I am shopping differently than ever before. You always hear nutritionists saying that you should spend most of your grocery shopping time on the outer part of the store rather than in the aisles- I do that now! The last time I went grocery shopping I only went into one aisle, to get frozen vegetables.
For maybe the first 4 or 5 days I was sticking strictly to the diet, I was getting terrible headaches. I am still not sure what it was, but I am wondering if it was some kind of weaning off of all the sugar and carbs I usually eat. The past few days I haven’t had any headaches at all, so it would make sense as my body is getting used to eating real food!
I really appreciate that this program has reward days a few times a week. it makes it so much easier if I am craving something just to tell myself, you have a reward day tomorrow, so if you are still craving it, you can have it! For instance, 2 days ago I had a red velvet cupcake and it was delicious! And last weekend I had mexican food. And like I said, I’ve still lost 2 lbs this week.
Anyway, this is to say that I still have a long ways to go but I feel like my eating is really changing and it’s been really helpful to have this diet to guide me along and keep me on track. Hope you are all having a great week.
